VS&F Journey

Health & Safety Update

By Dan Doenges | In Gym | on August 24, 2021

Hello members,

As we have throughout the last 18 months, we are continuing to follow state mandates and guidance given by the Governor and Dr. Levine.  The state guidance—along with our internal measures and thoughtful community of members—have protected all of us from any COVID-19 transmission at the club. We would like that to continue!

Although the current state guidance does not change anything at VS&F as of this moment, I would like everyone to be mindful of others level of concern for the Delta variant.  Vaccinated people are very protected and although we have a very high percentage of vaccinated members this is still something no one wants to get or pass on.

So here are some general tips that we would like everyone to continue to follow

  • If you are sick with any symptoms of a cold or COVID-19 please do not come into the club.
  • If you had or may have had COVID-19 exposure in your daily life, please give yourself time away from the gym to make sure you are not sick or have not contracted the virus.
  • Wash your hands and/or use the hand sanitizer each time you enter the club.
  • Please keep in mind that not everyone wants to be close to someone when working out or talking. It is customary at the gym to give people space so please be mindful of this continuing in classes, on the gym floor, and on the cardio equipment.
  • Wipe down your equipment. If you do it before and after you can control your space. It is required that all members wipe down equipment after use regardless of the risk of COVID-19.
  • Lastly if you have not gotten the vaccine, we encourage you to talk with your doctor or trusted community members on the high benefits and low risk of this measure. We care about your health which is why we do what we do. If there is a safe way to protect yourself and others, we think it is prudent to give it its full consideration.

If you are a member of VS&F you understand the value of personal health; both physical and mental. This understanding is key to being prepared for unpredictable moments every day life throws your way. Let’s keep that frame of mind when dealing with what’s ahead of us in the coming weeks. Let’s make common sense health and wellness decisions, care for ourselves and others, and be prepared for changes that we will handle together.

Thanks Everyone
