Keeping our members as safe as possible is our #1 priority. To do that effectively we have updated one of our membership policies for out of state IDs.
It is critical to keep our community tight over the next next eight weeks as cases throughout the US are increasing and Vermont is showing to be safer and safer by comparison.
Our previous guidelines since reopening made the purchase of day passes unavailable. Anyone who wanted to use the gym had to purchase some type of membership. This was true for out-of-staters as well once they filled out a form saying they completed their quarantine and or presented a negative COVID test in line with the states rules.
However with cases outside the state still on the rise, we are not fully confident people will follow the quarantine rules to our standards. So we are creating a system where it only makes sense to be at VS&F if someone is living in the area more permanently and not just a short term visitor. We do not feel we have run into this problem yet but we are being proactive.
For that reason we are tightening our guidelines for anyone with an out of state ID. As of Dec. 28th, 2020 we are no longer allowing non-Vermonters to purchase short-term memberships. Our goal is to dissuade any traveling out-of-staters from using the club as a temporary option. We will review this policy again on March 1st, 2021.
Anyone, in state or out of state, can join VS&F with a monthly EFT or minimum 3-month membership as long as they comply with the State of Vermont travel guidelines and the other requirements on our Certificate of Compliance to Vermont Be Smart, Stay Safe Executive Order 01-20.
A Vermont ID is required to purchase these shorter-term membership options:
