Strength Training 101

By Brooklynn Beauregard | In Community, Gym | on May 23, 2019

Where Do You Start?

We get that coming to the gym can sometimes be intimidating. You have goals in mind that you’d like to meet, but you’re not exactly sure how to get there. That can be discouraging. But great news!- if you’re signed up at the gym, you’ve already accomplished the first step, and we can even help you with the second step! We have plenty of tools at Vermont Sport & Fitness to set you up with the recipe you need to succeed. One of those great tools we have to get you started, would be the many classes that we offer.

About Strength Training 101

Strength Training 101 is one of the best classes we have for beginners who are unsure of where to start. It’s taught by myself, Brooklynn Savage, NASM Certified Personal Trainer. At the core of it’s design, it is meant to be a workout for anyone to comfortably follow. While you hit all of the major muscle groups in this class, you will also receive instruction on how to properly execute each exercise. That way, you can feel confident in your form and the effectiveness of each exercise. Like many of our classes, you can have a very personalized experience. If there are still exercises you have a hard time executing, I will work with you to help make it fit what you need.

The advantage of coming to a class, is that it doesn’t take a lot of planning beforehand. You don’t have to think up your own workout because we do it for you.  When there’s a specific time you have to be there, you’re more likely to make it happen. The more you come, the more you gain the benefits; feel accomplished each time you complete a workout, feel stronger and more capable during your every day tasks, watch as the exercises become a little easier, etc. However, the best part about Strength Training 101, is the community. The people are so friendly and inviting that you feel like you quickly become a part of it.
