You may have seen in the news that the aging process is not what it used to be. We now know that you can combat fatigue, improve balance, and increase strength as you age, but if you don’t use it, you lose it. Health Professionals designed The Mid-Day Exercise Club , with support from doctors in the region, to create a safe and reliable program that can make all the difference. This is one of the club’s signature programs, and has the highest retention rate, because it is a must in the lives of the members it serves.
As the body ages we begin to lose muscle mass which can affect our bones, joints, and balance. Without proper muscle strength, our mobility and independence is jeopardized, which can impact daily life. According to the National Institute on Aging, a strong body contributes to a faster recovery from illness and injury. Strength also aids in prevention of many chronic ailments such as diabetes, cancer, stroke, heart disease, and osteoporosis.
One of the keys to fitness success is to find something you enjoy doing, and start at a level that is easy to maintain. The Mid-Day program ensures that that is the case for all of its members. We provide you with safe, moderate, one-on-one guidance from our head trainer Chrissy Condon to help improve your quality of life. Mid-Day Exercise club is a mix of cardio and strength training that is tailored for each individual. Over a short period of time you will find that the exercises and regular strength training will help you build back muscle. And aside from the physical benefits, those who participate in a stable fitness routine experience less depression, elevated moods, and overall good mental health!
