A combination of kettlebell and bodyweight movements focusing on joint mobility, strength, and cardiovascular endurance. (30 min.)

Kettlebells consists of whole-body movement exercises that deliver cardio, strength, and flexibility benefits in a short amount of time and can be beneficial for anyone no matter the level of fitness. Our class is a mixture of skills-building and high-intensity circuit training that makes for both a fun and challenging experience. The intensity of the session can be modified by using different sizes of kettlebells or by changing the pace of repetitions. We practice kettlebell training with a focus on safety, breath work, proper biomechanics and appropriate weight progressions. Kettlebell training will build long lean muscles, improve strength and power in the upper body, core and lower body and increase coordination, joint mobility and overall endurance. Benefits include increased cardio output, increased VO2 max, calorie expenditure and a happy smiling face upon exiting. This class takes place in our Strength & Conditioning room in the North Wing of the gym during the winter months and shifts outside to our outdoor class space when the weather permits. This 30-min. class keeps you moving and having fun the entire time and keeps you coming back for more.
