VS&F Journey

New Tenant Coming to Vermont Sport & Fitness Club

Dear Members & Guests,

We wanted to let everyone know that as of April 1st, Motivation Studio Pilates of Rutland, VT is going to be moving into Vermont Sport & Fitness. Motivation Studio is a fully-equipped Pilates studio featuring a full complement of STOTT Pilates equipment (including reformers).

Over the last two years we have seen a growth in the size of our Yoga and Pilates classes, stretching the capacity of our Body-Mind Room. At the same time, the room remains underutilized, being occupied only a handful of hours per week. These two factors led us to keeping our ears open to opportunities to not only move upstairs for more space, but also to make better use of our current Body-Mind Room.

When Mandy Dansereau, owner of Motivation Studio Pilates, approached us about this opportunity to move in we took our time and then decided it was the right move for her as well as VS&F. Mandy will be moving in and will operate her business out of our current Body-Mind Room. The room will be strictly for the use of Motivation Studio and her clients, and otherwise locked. This will bring new resources to reinvest in our upstairs classroom with heating, lighting and design. It will also allow us to bring resources to other areas of the club.

Mandy is a great person and professional who will bring some extra positive energy to the club and that space.  As far as the partnership goes, all VS&F members are welcome to sign up for private or group Pilates sessions with Motivation Studio and receive a $50 discount on their first purchase of any package. We are very excited to welcome Mandy, her clients and her fitness studio to Vermont Sport and Fitness.

Class Schedule Change Begin March 25

The classes that currently take place in the Body-Mind Room will move upstairs as we look to create an even better space for both Yoga and Pilates. A few classes will have minor time changes (see below). This will give more time for transitions between classes. We will continue with all of our Floor Pilates classes that are currently running, and they will still be included in club membership. The last class in the downstairs Body-Mind Room will be on Friday March 22nd. The first class upstairs will be on Monday March 25th.

Class Schedule Changes Starting Week of March 25:

  • Mon: Barre: 11:30 am (change from 11:15)
  • Tues & Thur: Strength Training 101: 11:30 am (change from 11:15)
  • Wed & Fri: Pilates: 10:30 am, upstairs (change from 10:15).

Expect to see an evolution of the room as the classes move upstairs and we learn the needs in the newspace.
