One of the main goals of the new ownership at Vermont Sport & Fitness is to be directly involved in the Rutland community. Co-owners Leslie and Dan have joined two boards where they feel they can be of service and can have a positive impact on Rutland’s future.
In addition to serving as a board member for Rutland Young Professionals, Leslie has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce. Leslie will be on the Membership Committee for this board. “It’s so important that our local economy has the support it needs to thrive in an always changing business environment. As a local business owner, I thought it would be beneficial to serve on this board to help give a small business perspective.” Leslie also hopes that her involvement will continue to help support the advancing brand of Rutland County, where she was born and raised.
Dan has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Rutland Regional Medical Center. Dan will also be serving on the Quality Committee for this board. “I am very grateful to be able to serve on such an impactful board in our community. Not only will this be a learning opportunity for me, but I hope to be able to bring a perspective as a business owner with a young family dedicated to health and fitness in the community. I look forward to the chance to help tackle some of the challenges facing our population’s health.”
Leslie and Dan will continue to find ways to offer their experience and time and strive to be a positive influence in the community that we all live in and want the best for. Vermont Sport & Fitness is dedicated to serving our members and community in all areas related to health, fitness, and quality of life.
